My husband ( 90 with a number of health issues...including wanting to catch more than an 8 lb fish) thoroughly enjoyed an outing on Days out Fishing. He  had Darren assist the bringing of a young kingfish on board, photo to prove (more than 8 lb) , and was eventually happy to understand that the fish was returned to the sea. A few eating snapper later, we returned to Paihia jetty where Darren thoughtfully filetted and bagged the fish for us. Could not have had a better helpful skipper who kept a very clean and tidy boat. Our days fishing was phenomenal.

The skipper was a master. We just wanted our lines in but he wanted his pick fixed.! Once that happened we celebrated some of the best fishing in our lives, 20lb snapper, kingy, kahawai and a beautiful John dory.

We brought home about 10 kg of fillets and roe. 12 of us have just had another big feed of sashimi and fast blasted kingy steaks and snapper off the barby.

Pretty tight decision on sashimi between kingy and John Dory,! Decision for Xmas day.

Darren(skipper of the Day Out), you are the man!!!!

Had a ball, worth every dollar, Darren was friendly and diligent at attending to our needs and this was impressive for a Kiwi, 😀 The boat was clean and as a boat owner  I was impressed with the layout and functionality, had a great day and would not hesitate to recommend you guys to others.

Easily one of the most memorable experiences I'll ever have. hanging out with great work mates and getting to see their smiles landing some massive fish! I've never experienced anything like that ever. Even having a spew was good. hahaha!

From the van Roij boys: we have been with a multitude of charter companies but this by far the most professional, well looked after and a great time overall, my 15 year old being the youngest on board enjoyed it greatly! I definitely wouldn't hesitate to book again
