Fishing Report:
Weather is stunning up here in the Bay of Islands. Last week we
had a mixed bag of results; out wide the terikahi have been hard to find but there are lots of nice eating snapper hanging around the deep foul out past red head. I'm not sure about the moon thing but it certainly put the brakes on the kingfish. But the last day or so they were starting to come on the bite again with good numbers out in the 50 mtr mark. Out wide there are a few nice gem fish on the usual deep reefs. The stray lining in close will start to pick up as the moon drops. Some very respectable fish coming from right in close on the soft baiting gear, my picks for this coming week will be to head out wide chase some deep water with snapper and trevally, if weather permits or in close around all the islands casting soft baits or anchored up with burly and a stray line.
